Title: MassHunter Quant Reporting Fix for Large Batches on Win7, Pre B.05.01

Summary:

A fix is available in the form of a registry edit to improve the maximum
size of batch that the MassHunter Quant Reporting system can handle on Windows 7.
This fix is applied automatically with Quant B.05.01 and onwards.

Parts Required:

Attached GDIProcessHandleQuota.zip file.

Also available on the Support Portal under LC/MS MassHunter Software

Situation:

There has always been a limit to the number of graphic objects that Excel
can handle at one time. Generating a report with very large batches and
a report template with a lot of graphics will crash. With the migration
to Windows 7, it was found that this maximum batch size was smaller than
what could be handled on Windows XP.

This decrease in maximum size is due to a GDI object threshold (graphics
limit) imposed upon Excel in Windows 7. By default, Windows 7 sets this
lower than in XP.

This fix will allow for the same maximum report size on Windows 7 that was
available in Windows XP.

Solution/Action:
1. Unzip the .zip file to a location on the hard drive.
2. Double-click the GDIProcessHandleQuota.reg file in the zip file.
3. Allow administrator privileges to allow changes to registry.
4. Restart computer for change to take effect.
